History

Results from Relay Race 2006

Swimmers from Russia, Britain, Germany and Norway all took part in this exciting event. Held in front of the elegant Kvikne's Hotel, the Sognefjord Relay Races were a colourful and fun-filled final event at the Sognefjord Swim Festival 2006. Judging the races was the Mayor of Balestrand, Erland Fagermoen and hotel owner Sigurd Kvikne. Each team member swam a double length of the arena, ringing a bell midway before turning. There were two category classes: the Shark class for the hungrier, older swimmers, and the Jelly Fish class for the younger, yet equally determined swimmers. In addition, a creative bathing hat competition was held and won by the girls from the Leikanger Red Cross. Results are listed below:
