Official opening of fjord swimming season

This year's fjord swimming season was officially opened by Sogn Fjord Swimming Club as part of an additional stage of the Kjeringi Open Quadrathlon held in Leikanger, 22nd April 2006. With a red ribbon ceremony, guest of honour Lewis Gordon Pugh declared the fjord open. More than twenty enthusiastic locals jumped into the fjord for a refreshing spring dip.

Sogn Fjord Swimming Club holds it¢s training sessions on Thursdays at 7 pm at Sognefjord Hotel, Leikanger, and on Sundays at 3 pm at Leikanger Fjord Hotel, Leikanger. All are welcome!
